I had blood in my stool for a while there and went to see the doctor so often that the nurse started giving me a look when I came to the window "You're here AGAIN?"

They never solved anything for me and I took several tests. I got desparate and decided to quit eating and drinking and taking any kind of medicines.

Luckily, I didn't have to do that for long. I realized it was the sleeping pills. I had tried several because i sleep during the day and even after this episode when I tried a new kind i would get blood in my stool again. whatever is in that stuff does not go well with me, apparently.

So now I make sure I drink plenty of water, which is hard to do, actually. I'm hoping I can get to the point where I don't have to pee constantly, but I knew I wasn't regular and I looked at my liquid intake: mostly caffein, which dehydrates, and maybe one glass of water in the morning when I take vitamins. Getting up to 8 8oz glasses from that point was a whole new universe! That's something else you can check up on.

good luck!
References :
It is not a dangerous virus for general population, however it can be for weaker subjects, such as the elderly, very young or people with an underactive immune system.

There is no cure, no drug that kills the virus, but most people are able to get rid of it on their own.The only things you can do to prevent spreading it and to stop serious consequences that have been proven to be effective are:

- Avoid contact with people who have it: especially school children, residents in care homes, etc.

- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after every meal and ideally before and after contact with any individual that might have it. Wash them WITH SOAP AND WATER. Sanitising gels are not as effective for this particular virus.

- If you have the illness, REHYDRATION and regular painkillers are the most important things to do. Drink flat fizzy drinks, they contain the water, salts and sugar that your body needs to keep working for a few days. Food is not that important, it may just upset your stomach even more. If unable to keep any fluids down, urine output dropping or getting dehydrated (fast pulse, dry skin and tongue, drowsy) GO TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR.
References :
I'm a doctor

Norovirus (previously called "Norwalk-like viruses") In My Town! Help!?
Norovirus (previously called "Norwalk-like viruses")[1], is an RNA virus of the Caliciviridae taxonomic family. The virus causes approximately 90% of epidemic non-bacterial outbreaks of gastroenteritis around the world,[2][3] and is responsible for 50% of all foodborne outbreaks of gastroenteritis in the US.[4] Norovirus affects people of all ages. The viruses are transmitted by faecally contaminated food or water and by person-to-person contact.[5]

After infection, immunity to norovirus is usually incomplete and temporary.[6] There is an inherited predisposition to infection, and individuals with blood type O are more often infected,[2][7] while blood types B and AB can confer partial protection against symptomatic infection.[8][9]

Outbreaks of norovirus disease often occur in closed or semi-closed communities, such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, prisons, dormitories, and cruise ships where once the virus has been introduced, the infection spreads very rapidly by either person-to-person transmission or through contaminated food.[10] Many norovirus outbreaks have been traced to food that was handled by one infected person.[11]

Norovirus is rapidly inactivated by chlorine-based disinfectants, but because the virus particle does not have a lipid envelope, it is less susceptible to alcohols and detergents.[12]

There are different genogroups of norovirus and the majority of noroviruses that infect humans are classified into genogroup G1 and G2.[13]

History
The norovirus was originally called the Norwalk Virus. The name was shortened to the norovirus after receiving national attention for being identified in multiple cruise ship outbreaks. The Norwalk Virus was named after Norwalk, Ohio, where an outbreak of acute gastroenteritis occurred among a vast majority of children at Bronson Elementary School in November 1968. In 1972, immune electron microscopy on stored stool samples identified a virus, which was given the name Norwalk virus. Numerous outbreaks with similar symptoms have been reported since. The cloning and sequencing of the Norwalk virus genome showed that these viruses have a genomic organization consistent with viruses belonging to the family Caliciviridae.[14] The name norovirus (Norovirus for the genus) was approved by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses in 2002. [15]

Common names of the illness caused by noroviruses are winter vomiting disease, viral gastroenteritis and acute non-bacterial gastroenteritis[5], also colloquially known as "stomach flu" — a broad name that can also refer to gastric inflammation caused by other viruses and bacteria.

The virus has previously been called Norwalk virus, Norwalk-like virus, SRSVs (Small Round Structured Viruses), and Snow Mountain virus.[16][citation needed]

[edit] Signs and symptoms
The disease is usually self-limiting, and characterised by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain; and in some cases, loss of taste. General lethargy, weakness, muscle aches, headache, and low-grade fever may occur. Symptoms may persist for several days and may become life-threatening in the young, the elderly, and the immune-compromised if dehydration is ignored or not treated.[5] When a person becomes infected with norovirus, the virus begins to multiply within the small intestine. After approximately 1 to 2 days, norovirus symptoms can appear.

[edit] Diagnosis
Specific diagnosis of norovirus is routinely made by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays or real-time PCR assays, which give results within a few hours. These assays are very sensitive and can detect concentrations as low as 10 virus particles.[17]

Tests such as ELISA that use antibodies against a mixture of norovirus strains are available commercially but lack specificity and sensitivity.[18]

[edit] Prevention and infection control
Hand washing remains an effective method to reduce the spread of norovirus pathogens. Norovirus can be aerosolized when those stricken with the illness vomit. Surface sanitizing is recommended in areas where the Norovirus may be present on surfaces.

In health care environments, the prevention of nosocomial infections involves routine and terminal cleaning. Nonflammable alcohol vapor in CO2 systems are used in health care environments where medical electronics would be adversely affected by aerosolized chlorine or other caustic compounds.[19]

Ligocyte is working on a vaccine and has already started phase 1 trials.[20][when?]

[edit] Associated foods
Noroviruses are transmitted directly via person to person or indirectly via contaminated water and foods. A CDC study of eleven outbreaks in New York State lists the suspected mode of transmission as person-to-person in seven outbreaks, foodborne in two, waterborne in one, and one unknown. The source of waterborne outbreaks may include water from municipal supplies, wells, recreational lakes, swimming pools and ice machines. [21]

Shellfish and salad ing
ingredients are the foods most often implicated in Norwalk outbreaks. Ingestion of raw or insufficiently steamed clams and oysters poses a high risk for infection with the Norwalk virus. Foods other than shellfish are contaminated by ill food handlers.[22]

The point is its here in my town and i want to know how to get rid of it. I dont know how all the doctors say "Its the common flu, dont worry about it" problem is two chilldren very close have died from it. My family including me has it. I wanna know how to get rid of it, in fact i have it right now. Some people say its "created " virus by the Government for the new world order. I dont know if thats true, but it is a lethal virus, and has taken young children and elderly people, it here in The Northern Califonia area and effects alotta people from Jobs, to school, if there any doctors or people that know ant remidies or cures let me know!, you`d be doing northern califonia and many people here a big favor! thank you.

You just start taking it moment by moment. I truly understand the pain, the loneliness, the comments from others, who are genuinely trying to help, but just don't quite get it. First off, I am so sorry that things didn't work out the second time around. You are not a failure, you are a warrior for attempting to finish this relationship "till death do you part". That takes alot of courage. I know, I have a story a lot like yours. My husband and I were married 24 years, and one day while I was bathing, he was packing his truck moving out. I had no idea what was going on. When I got out of the tub, I started noticing things were gone and being moved around or missing. We had been fighting, but no more than usual. I even had dinner ready to eat. He came back in for his last load of things and told me we were threw. I was "shocked"!!! to say the least. He would not even talk to me and didn't talk to me again, other than short conversations about the divorce that he was hell bent on getting. I went in to major depression. I didn't know how to be alone. I still loved this man! What was God doing to me! If he had died, I don't think I could of grieved any more than I did. I couldn't work, I didn't function, there were days on days I couldn't even get out of bed. My friends tried hard to console me, but they never said anything that helped. They eventually got to where they were almost dogmatic when they talked to me, and would tell me to "get over him, your marriage is threw, he is never coming home", and the clincher line "its the best thing for you that he has left". Oh My God! I just wouldn't believe it was over, like I said, I still loved him, I didn't hate him, there was still feelings. I would not give up on us, but everyone else had. So I went it alone. Nine months later, our daughter had our first grandchild, and my Ex and I ended up at her house at the same time to visit. I had yet, to talk to my Ex about his leaving and was terrified at seeing him, after all this time, because of all my feelings. But I prayed, got out of the car, went in to take my stand and be apart of my new grandsons life. Anyway, after visiting for awhile, my Ex started talking to our daughter and grandson like we were still married. Talking about all the things we were going to do as a family. I reminded him, he had divorced me and there was no "we". I heard myself say it but I still didn't believe it. I got ready to go, and as I walked out my Ex decided to leave too. When we got outside he asked me to go have a drink with him. I did, cause I needed to talk, I needed answers. Anyway, from that eveing on we started rebuilding our life together. Its been harder than anything we ever did. We unloaded all our baggage, started putting up with all negativity from those that just knew we were making a mistake to get back together. Anyway, we did it. We remarried 1 day shy of 1 year that we would of been divorced. The first few months were impossible, I feared we might not make it and I was dreading all the things and all the opinions that I knew that would follow. I still moved forward and was determined. After about the 7th month it all started coming together. It was all about just making it happen on both our parts and the love we felt for each other. I know you say its over and if that is truly what you want, then I pray for strength for you to retravel these emotions and get threw this as fast as possible. But if there is an ounce of you that is still committed, I pray that you both find that common ground, lean on your love for strength and push threw any and every barrier that is blocking you. My husband tells me daily, "thank you for never giving up on me and us". Our friends have learned to be more positive and it has even helped them in some of their marriages lately to get threw bad times and not just throw in the towel. If I can do anything to help you, email me, and I will support you in everyway you need to be supported. "It isn't over, even when the fat lady sings"...we both know that! God will see you threw this.
References :
"It isn’t over, even when the fat lady sings"…we both know that! God will see you threw this.
References :

first i would say...nurture yourself. damnit if you want to cry..cry!!!! bath in candlelight...put on some great music. What did you want to do since you can remember but never came to do it.like...start learning to play piano etc.AND THEN...nurture others. There is nothing for me that takes the emptiness and loneliness so fast away than doing something for someone else. When i am most alone...usually late at night, i would take a walk, buy sandwiches, and gave them to people living on the street. sometimes i even start conversations with them. after leaving them, i feel great that i brightened someone up, and i always realise...i am one of the happiest people in relation to them. motto: do everyday something that you are scared of. Pull that comfortable ground under your feet. cut your hair..walk barefoot in the grocery store...start laughing at the curve balls that are thrown to you...and then scream as loud as you can... YOU WILL NOT GET THE BETTER OF ME!!! I AM FREE!!!! take care
References :
What Do You Want More?

I ask myself this question when I am having trouble doing, or dealing with something.

Simplify the question to yourself, this or that, single and lonely, and miserable? or single and happy, and engaging, the kind of person others want to be around.

? Being single is not the end of the world, it hard to get used to but you might like and learn alot about yourself, push yourself to try new things. Life is a journey, remember that.
References :
If this is the book I think it is, it really deals in loss in the sense of death--but I used it anyway, many years ago, to help me with a really bad breakup. It worked, along with a few other books out there (some online now--at least in part)

I hope that you will feel better soon, you can do it! I did, and never thought is would have been possible. :)
