Bleeding Hemorrhoids?
I would like to know if it is true that if you were to work out and lose weight that it helps out a lot with your situation with your hemorrhoid. For instance it can stop bleeding and reduce the size of it, or make it go away completely. Is this true? Will it better the condition of my hemorrhoid? I’m going to be honest, I am over weight and I do sit down at my computer for literally hours a day which I heard also is definitely help my condition. Any input would be much appreciated.

Sitting or standing for long periods of time definitely do not help hemorrhoids. Make sure you keep your booty very clean- try baby wipes
Hemorrhoids thrive in damp areas so try using a blow dryer set on the cool setting after showering. Use the creams, pads, witch hazel, etc to give you relief. If your hemorrhoids don’t clear up on their own after a few weeks- visit your doctor. They can remove them- but it isn’t guaranteed they will not return. Good Luck.

Self-Care Remedies -
For external hemorrhoids, try ice compresses or warm-water sitz baths two or three times daily.
Don’t strain excessively during bowel movements, and don’t stay on the toilet longer than necessary.
To ease defecation, apply zinc oxide paste or powder, or petroleum jelly, to the anal opening. Use a latex glove when doing so.
Apply a poultice made from "elderberry" to soothe swollen veins and relieve pain. Grind a small amount of the herb, mix with warm water until it becomes a paste, spread on gauze, and apply to anus for a couple of hours.
"Witch hazel" cream is another popular topical remedy in gel or glycerine tincture form; avoid alcohol–based products as they will be very irritating to rectal and anal tissues.
After a bowel movement, clean the anal area thoroughly but gently. Use soft toilet tissue moistened with warm water or witch hazel, or pre-moistened wipes. To dry the area, dab–don’t scrub–it with a soft, clean disposable cloth. Another alternative for drying the area is to use a blow dryer. Do not be aggressive in your cleaning as this can inflame veins.
Eat a high-fiber diet with plenty of fruits (especially citrus fruits which also contain vein-strengthening flavonoids), vegetables, grains, and legumes.
To avoid constipation, drink at least eight glasses of water a day (more during hot, humid weather).
Stay away from foods that may aggravate hemorrhoids: nuts, red pepper, mustard, coffee (regular and decaffeinated), and alcohol.
Avoid laxatives. Diarrhea can be as aggravating to hemorrhoids as constipation.
When lifting weights or heavy objects (or during a bowel movement), breathe normally. Holding your breath increases abdominal pressure.
For comfort, wear cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothes.
P.S. – the following supplements are helpful, as well
Taken together, vitamin C, flavonoids, and the herb "butcher’s broom" will help tone and shrink enlarged veins.
Zinc will speed up the healing process. Add copper when taking zinc longer than one month as it interferes with copper absorption.
Psyllium or flaxseeds will add enough fiber to your diet to bulk up the stool and make its passage easier.
For painful hemorrhoids, apply an oil or ointment containing the herb "St. John’s wort", especially after bowel movements. It helps shrink swollen tissues.
Because hemmoroids are due to weakness of the valves within veins, using the herbal vein tonic" horse chestnut" will help increase the muscular tone of the vessels and keep the veins from bulging. (Be sure to use a commercial product and not parts of the tree in your back yard. Unprocessed horse chesnut may contain toxins).
How can I explain Hemorrhoids to my friends at school?
If anyone has ever had Hemorrhoids, you know that it’s obvious that someone is in pain, especially while sitting (I can’t stay sitting for more than 5 minutes!)
I just went to the Emergency Room, and it’s a pretty bad case. I’m taking care of it, but in the meantime, I want to get out of school without everyone knowing I have hemorrhoids (for obvious reasons). Any way I could explain my absence and my pain to them?
(I’m basically asking for a cover story, here.
)
I would think it’s none of their business but I also realize there is a completely different set of social rules in high school. Tell them you cracked your tailbone and can’t sit for long periods of time.
Pain—plantar Fasciitis Pain Therapy to Relieve your Pain
If you experience foot pain caused by plantar fasciitis, you are most likely in search of successful plantar fasciitis pain therapy. You are not alone. Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of foot pain. This condition is due to an inflammation of the band of tissues (plantar fascia) connecting your heel to your toes. Many people say that the pain feels like a stabbing or burning sensation that starts at the heel and tends to spread forward into the toes. This is why many folks are so desperate to find plantar fasciitis pain therapy. It can be agonizingly painful and will get worse without therapy.
The Causes
The first step in order to receive the correct form of plantar fasciitis pain therapy is to figure out the cause of the condition. There are many different factors that can cause plantar fasciitis, such as:
· Tight calf muscles
· Injury from running, jumping, etc.
· On-set Arthritis
· Poor-fitting shoes
Plantar Fasciitis Pain Therapy
You doctor or podiatrist can help you discover the cause of your condition. After the cause has been determined, your doctor will advise you on the best plantar fasciitis pain therapy. Most of the time, plantar fasciitis pain therapy is easily conducted at home with exercise, rest and relaxation. Sometimes staying off your feet for a given amount of time is the best form of plantar fasciitis pain therapy. Other times, a doctor may tell you to apply tape across the plantar fascia located just in front of the heel where the arch begins to allow the inflammation to subside and the foot to heal correctly.
Another method of plantar fasciitis pain therapy is a series of exercises to strengthen the foot, stretching exercises and the application ice to the area of inflammation for 10 – 15 minutes, 3X a day to reduce pain and swelling.
Also, taking over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (DO NOT take Aspirin) will help alleviate the pain. Finally, many doctors will suggest select stretching exercises as plantar fasciitis pain therapy for prevention and treatment.
Having plantar fascia is no fun. It can get in the way of your daily activities by limiting your mobility due to the pain. This is why plantar fasciitis pain therapy is necessary to eliminate the discomfort of this irritating condition.

Hemorrhoids problem, serious replies only please?
Ok, please no jokes. I have a problem with hemorrhoids which has been ongoing for years. The problem has gotten worse than ever and the pain is unbearable. One of the vessels is swollen and beet red and causing lots of pain. I have tried creams, tucks pads and even soaking in epsom salts baths for hours with no releif. I have been to doctors and they are no help. How do I get the pain to stop so I can at least sleep? Please help.
I had the same problem with my doctors on this issue. They told me they could "band" them to remove them but it would do me no good because they would only grow back so talked me out of doing it. All they ever accually did was shove a finger up my rump and sent me home with a script to rub prep-h on it which was a total waste.
I’m still looking for a cure for the pain myself, if you find a good one, let the rest of us know.
